Dear Family and Friends,
We are working tirelessly to give our mother and grandmother the surprise of a lifetime on Friday, July 17, 2026, and
we mean that in every sense of the word. Every detail of this evening has been planned with love, intention, and an
enormous amount of effort – and we need your full cooperation to make it happen.
**Please read every word of this message carefully.**
ON KEEPING THE SECRET
This is a SURPRISE. If you have any doubt – any doubt at all – about your ability to be in
the presence of Edie between now and July 17 without letting something slip, we are
respectfully asking you to limit your contact with her until after the event. We love you, but
we love her more, and we will not risk this moment being ruined. If she asks you what you
have been up to, change the subject. If she mentions her birthday, keep it moving. This
secret belongs to all of us.
ON ARRIVAL TIME
Guests must be inside the venue no later than 5:30 PM on Friday, July 17, 2026.
This is not a suggestion. This is a requirement.
If you arrive after 5:30 PM, DO NOT attempt to enter the building. Do not try to
sneak in. Do not assume you know the schedule. You do not – and attempting to
enter on your own could destroy the entire surprise that this family has spent
months building.
If you arrive after 5:30 PM, remain in your vehicle. A parking attendant will give you
the all clear when it is safe to come inside. Please wait patiently and trust the process.
We are asking for one evening of your full commitment to honoring a woman who has given
a lifetime of hers to all of us. She deserves this moment to be everything we have planned –
and with your help, it will be.
